The Mataatua Sports Trust is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2025/26 Mataatua Sports Awards. We invite you to put forward individuals, teams, and volunteers who have demonstrated excellence, leadership, and dedication in their respective fields during the performance period of 1 January 2025 to 31 August 2026.

Nomination Criteria:

Nominees must either whakapapa to Mataatua waka or reside within the rohe.

Nominees do not need to be elite athletes; emerging sportspeople are encouraged.

Nominees should demonstrate leadership and holistic athletic qualities.

Performance period: January 1, 2025 - 31, August - 2026
Nominations close on the 30th of September
